Where's my refund?

Calculating your IRS refund just got a little "less taxing" this year thanks to the new SnapTax app for the iPhone and Android devices which shows a running tally of the IRS refund, or tax owed, every step of the way of the filing process.

With SnapTax, the details of your refund or how much you owe is in your smartphone:
“IRS e-file is the best option for everyone, especially for people impacted by recent tax law changes,” said Doug Shulman, IRS commissioner.
“E-file ensures people can file accurately and get refunds quickly. With a new legislative e-file mandate for tax preparers, we anticipate that more tax return preparers will be using e-file this year, and we urge people who prepare their own taxes to give it a try. IRS e-file is now the norm, not the exception.”
With the SnapTax app, you can automatically complete basic IRS tax forms on your iPhone or Android by simply taking a picture of your W-2 form and filing in a couple of details. Using OCR technology, it streamlines and simplifies tax preparation, giving you a running tally of taxes owed or if you are entitled to a refund.
The SnapTax app is free to download but you will need to pay $14.99 for one federal 1040EZ and one state tax return plus e-filing.
